On August 28, Urbaser announced the agreement to sell its business in the Nordic countries to Cube Infrastructure Managers. The transaction has been completed today.
Thus, all the shares of the company’s Nordic subsidiary, Urbaser Nordic AS, have been transferred to Cube Infrastructure Managers.
With this transaction Urbaser completes the sale of its activities in the Nordic markets, which it entered in 2018, mainly providing waste collection services in Denmark, Norway, Sweden, and Finland. In these countries, the sold business serves more than 5 million people, employs 1,800 professionals, and mobilizes a fleet of more than 1,100 trucks. In 2022, the volume of revenue from these countries reached €241 million. Since Platinum Equity acquired Urbaser two years ago, the company continues to execute its value creation strategy by providing leading circular integrated waste management solutions for its clients in its core markets.
